About the balls for the new 6/54 game
April 24, 2006
The 6/54 game will start 4-26-06. They will be using the same
balls that they bought and used in July 2000 for the first 6/54 game.
They've been using these same balls all along, but they renamed them
for the 5/44 game. So now they plan to call them by their "original" names.
To make a long story short, what we've been calling 12, 13, 14, 15, & 16
will simply convert back to 7, 8, 9, 10, & 11.

About the balls for the 5/44 & 1/44
(May 2003 - April 22, 2006)
They used the same balls for the primary (5/44) draws when
playing 5/44 that was used when we were playing 6/54 the first time.
This was between July 2000 thru May 2, 2003 - but - they renamed
the balls - What was 7, 8, 9, 10, & 11 became 12, 13, 14, 15, 16.

For the bonus number (1-44) , they used the old Cash 5 balls
- but renamed them - Cash 5 ball sets 7-8-9-10-11 - used
between July 3, 2000 thru July 26, 2002
are now 17B, 18B, 19B, 20B, 21B.

2008 Pretest Drawing Results

Attention Cash 5 Players
Effective July 29, 2002, March 1, 2003, Jan 1, 2004, March 1, 2005
April 1, 2006, January 1, 2007, the TLC began using new balls and new air
driven drawing machines for Cash Five. When 5/39, the TLC used "hard rubber
balls" but with the matrix change,they switched to "ping-pong" type balls.
The balls are named (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, & 17) 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24,
25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40 & 41)
42, 43, 44, 45, 46 47, 48, 49, 50, 51 and the draw machines are (G, H, & I) J, K, L.
As of Sept 2007, Ball Set '51' is being held in Reserve.

Effective 9-7-00, the Tx Lottery suspended my faxes of the official audited
pretest drawing results for both Cash 5 and Lotto Texas and
told me to obtain this information from the internet. Since there is a track record
of errors on the part of the TLC, I designate what I have proofed using
the "official papers." We'll see how it goes as far as accuracy - but - when they
originally posted this data they started off with two errors so ... I'm not very optimistic.
Hopefully, like twice in years past, they will reinstate these faxes because they'll
discover it's cheaper than mailing them, less embarrassing when there is an error on
their part, and less work for their staff to fill open records requests - which is
exactly how I will obtain this information from now on so as to insure my accuracy.

Updates- On December 22, 2000, the Tx Lottery erred in posting the
4th pretest drawing for the Cash 5. On their site, as of 1-1-01, it was
still posted incorrectly. I have the correct numbers posted and just FYI,
I notified Linda Cloud of this error on Monday, Dec. 25, 2000. I notified
her because she told me Thanksgiving week that it was IMPOSSIBLE
for there to be a mistake on their Pretest drawing results web page.

On March 30, 2001 and April 6, 2001, the TLC posted ball set "0" as the
alternate ball set chosen for the Texas Million. There is no ball set "0." They later
corrected this after I brought it to their attention but they never posted a "Correction
Notice." So much for it being "impossible" to make a mistake on their pretest pages.

Additionally, for the week of April 9, 2001 "Ask the Director" section,
the Tx Lottery gave incorrect data to players regarding the date the Pick3 balls
were last replaced. They told players the Pick3 balls were last replaced on
Sept. 1, 2000 when the balls were actually replaced on April 2, 2001.
