Effective Oct 13, 2013, Mega Millions increased the odds of
winning from 175 million-to-one to 258.8 million-to-one.
They "think" players wanted this change - (sacrastic remark) -
but the truth is they wanted a game players wouldn't win very often
so that the jackpot would roll to huge sums so players would buy more tickets.
The jackpot is certainly rolling more but sales aren't climbing as they had hoped.
